PROJECT TYPE: NEW SPLASHPAD®

ANTICIPATED OPENING: DECEMBER 2024

Manatee County residents have a lot to look forward to this year! By the end of the year, they will have a beautiful new park that includes a playground, walking trails, a pavilion, and a 4700 sq. ft. Splashpad®! The Parrish Civic Association and Manatee County have been working on this plan for almost eight years and are excited to see it come to fruition.

Adjacent to the Parrish Community High School, the new space is being transformed into the Parrish Community Park, and all facilities in this first phase will be available free to local families.

Collaborating with landscape architects Kimley-Horn Sarasota Vortex has designed a Splashpad® for kids of all ages and abilities. A teen zone features the iconic SuperSplash No2 dumping bucket and two opposing Tube No1 cannons for competitive spray play. A toddler zone offers more gentle water features to encourage more tactile activities and water exploration. Vortex’s popular Cascade Rainforest is at the heart of this space. Finally, a family zone brings together multi-generations for hours of water fun, ensuring that no one is left out of the fun!

Manatee County meticulously selected custom colors. The result is a vibrant, patriotic red, white, and blue theme, a testament to the community’s pride and unity. As one of the fastest-growing communities in the county, Parrish’s residents—both present and future—will enjoy this wonderful new space for years to come, a space they can truly call their own.
