Tonawanda to welcome largest Splashpad® in Erie County for summer 2024

The town of Tonawanda has much to look forward to this summer! It is currently undergoing a huge recreation project at Brighton Park to introduce a new ice rink, pickleball courts, and a massive Splashpad®! This will be the largest Splash pad in Erie County and will be accessible to individuals of all abilities. The new facilities will be a destination for people from all over, not just local citizens.
The star of the 7000 sq.ft. Splash pad is an Elevations™ multi-level play structure that features three slides and a Supersplash No2. The bucket itself will be custom-painted with the town’s logo. Each slide will cater to a different age group, so even the littlest adventurers can participate.
A large toddler zone has been created on the Splash pad to introduce younger children to water play. With features like Cascade Loop, kids will have the opportunity to explore these gentle water play either alone or with their friends or parents.
On the other side of the Elevations™ structure, a more active zone has been created for older children. Kids can interact with a variety of larger features, including Sea Silhouette Turtle. And everyone can get into the fun with playful water fights between several Luna Cannon No1.
Vortex collaborated with local channel partner Denzak Recreation on this exciting new aquatic play project. Owner Joe Denzak notes he is particularly proud of this installation as he and his wife both grew up in Tonawanda! In fact, they still have family living there, with children who plan to take full advantage of this wonderful new spray park! Once the new facilities are open, the park will be renamed Paddock Chevrolet Park.
