The mayor of Cofrentes knew that the swimming pools in his village were popular with local families, but the higher slides required vigilant personnel to oversee their safe use. This limited the pools’ operating hours in order to stay within budget. The pool area was re-designed with a Splashpad® and an Elevations™ structure that offers two slides for kids of any age, and a 3-meter slide for older children. The water attraction has enhanced the enjoyment of the pool area for the town’s population to enjoy, while lowering personnel costs and extending operating hours. And it has been a boon to the village’s economy. Cofrentes has been able to draw visitors from nearby towns and municipalities, charging them a higher admission. And the village has been able to lengthen its summer season through September.
