When management at the Hotel Barceló decided to increase the resort’s aquatic play offer, the idea was to free up space at the large existing swimming pools and create new aquatic play spaces. The decision was made to install a Splashpad®, a highly versatile solution that could be adapted within the existing facilities and offer a source of fun for children of all ages and abilities. With the opportunity to promote the hotel differently and attract new guests, the decision was made to install not one, but two different Splashpads in separate areas of the resort. The ocean-themed Splashpad stimulates little pirates’ imaginations and invite them to live a great adventure by discovering different sea animals and sailing through the seven seas. Barceló Punta Umbria Beach Resort has successfully utilized underused areas to create fun-filled aquatic play options while freeing up the busy swimming pools.
