The Florida Aquarium wanted to extend the attraction’s appeal to the outdoors, allowing visitors to enjoy being outside, especially in the summer. With Vortex, the Aquarium decided to install a rainforest-themed Splashpad® offering families the fun of outdoor aquatic play while providing relief from the Tampa sun. Children of all ages can explore the wonder of the rainforest with a wide variety of interactive features; even the youngest visitors can discover the movement of water in the zero-depth play area. The Splashpad is providing additional value to guests, increasing the opportunities for families to enjoy the facility and extend their visit.
